I am honored to join Westmoreland as Senior Minister. I come to this role from the Episcopal Diocese of Washington (EDOW), where I served as the Missioner for Parish Renewal Initiatives under the leadership of Bishop Mariann Budde. My work there focused on helping congregations rediscover their purpose, strengthen their spiritual life, and imagine new ways of being church together.
I discerned a call to ministry at the age of sixteen and was ordained ten years later in the Michigan Conference of the United Church of Christ. My vocation has been shaped by a wide range of communities and settings: serving as Interim Director of the Niebuhr Center for Faith and Action at Elmhurst University, as Pastor of Congregational UCC in Arlington Heights, IL, and, since 2021, on the diocesan staff at EDOW. These experiences have deepened my conviction that the church is at its best when it is grounded in tradition, open to transformation, and guided by God’s abundant love.
Beyond my professional life, I am “Mama” to my seven-year-old twins, Max and Ruth. They are second-grade students at Sela Public Charter School—Washington DC’s only Hebrew immersion school—where they have found a warm and supportive community. We live together in the Brightwood neighborhood of DC with our dog, Tangerine. In my spare time, I enjoy lifting weights, going on long walks, exploring the city, making art, and unwinding with a good television series.
After five years away from parish ministry, I am grateful and eager to return to the rhythms of congregational life. I am committed to nurturing a deep and transformative relationship with God, whose boundless love guides my ministry. I am passionate about empowering people to discover their own truths and live fully into who they are. Grounded in a love for story and ritual, I strive to create worship that is relevant, inclusive, and spiritually nourishing, and I am dedicated to helping the church grow in ways that are both rooted in our history and open to renewal.
I look forward to serving, learning, and growing alongside you in the years ahead. May God bless our ministry together!
