Julia Cory grew up in Socorro, New Mexico, and attended Grinnell College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Studio Art. She has always enjoyed working with nonprofits and serving the local community. Before joining the church, Julia spent several years in Detroit helping process rental assistance for individuals and families experiencing financial hardship and crisis situations.
At Westmoreland, Julia helps keep the office running smoothly. She answers phones, responds to emails, and assists with room rentals and events around the church. She is happy to help and encourages anyone with a question or need to reach out to the office.
Julia is also a lifelong animal lover and enjoys collecting fun facts about all things animal. Her current pets include a chihuahua named Trinket, a ball python and Mexican black kingsnake named Teo and Mr. Cobra Bubbles respectively, and a cat named Bella. She would love to hear about your pets or your family, so don’t hesitate to stop by and share a story!
