One day. One decision. Changing history forever.

Our church community, neighbors, family and friends are all invited to attend the staged reading production of Biltmore Hotel, July 14, 1960, the new play by Westmoreland member Joe Kelly.

Event: Come watch the free scripted reading presented by our own Westmoreland Community Players and stay for refreshments and a discussion about the play and its historical backdrop.

When: Saturday, December 6, 2025, 2pm – 5pm (with brief intermission, food and drinks, and discussion included)

Where: Westmoreland Church Social Hall and Stage

What:  The play dramatizes the high-stakes political and personal negotiations that led to one of the most consequential decision days in American political history: John F. Kennedy’s offer of the Vice Presidency to Lyndon B. Johnson. It reflects on the legacy of civil rights, political compromise, and the enduring struggle for justice.
