I am a pastoral/professional counselor, spiritual director, and mentor offering hospitality to individuals and communities discerning how God is present in their lives. My calling to help others with the inward journey comes a decade after focusing on the outward journey via politics, faith-based advocacy, and bridge-building with diverse political and theological stakeholders.
I frequently help young adults discern calling in ministry, politics, and nonprofit work. In addition to supporting the Westmoreland Volunteer Corps, I am the Mentor to an intentional community of Wesley Theological Seminary students in downtown DC. I am also the Host at the Carpenter’s House (www.carpentershousedc.org), a new ministry of spiritual hospitality that is part of the Briggs Center for Faith Action. In addition, I provide leadership in my ecumenical, lay-led faith community in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood of DC.
I live close to the volunteer house with my wife, son, and bulldog.
