“Prepare the way for the Lord” (Mark 1:3)
Advent is a time for preparation. While we most often use this season to remember what happened and prepare for the Christmas celebration, it is also a time to be prepared for something new in us. It is a time to honor our history and tradition, but also the present and our evolving spiritual journeys.
On three Advent Sundays (Nov. 29, Dec. 6, Dec. 13) you have the opportunity to prepare by listening; to open to what God may have for you right now in this season. These times will include silence, listening, and brief reflection on Advent gospel passages. There will not be much discussion, if any. Come to be open, listen, and trust God's preparation in you and us. We will meet in the Library.
