The Children’s Choir is a comprehensive musical ensemble primarily composed of Pre-K through 5th graders (although all ages are welcome). Children develop vocal skills by exploring various genres of music. Additionally, children are exposed to a variety of musical experiences through playing handbells, boom whackers, recorders, and percussion instruments. The Children’s Choir rehearses on Sunday mornings, 9:00-9:45 am in the Mabry Room and sings about once a month during worship. (Parents are invited to an adult study while their children are in choir.)
Each Mother's Day, the children and youth present a musical based on a particular story from the bible. Rehearsals and preparation begin in January or February. Look for more information. All are welcome!
The children and youth traditionally lead the congregation through the Christmas story at the 5:00pm Christmas Eve service. Specific details regarding rehearsals and music will be announced at the beginning of Advent.
Children and youth who play an instrument or sing are encouraged to share their specific talents during particular worship services.
