Boards and
Committees
Church Boards are usually composed of 12 members. All
members of all Boards and Committees or those in other leadership
positions agree to adhere to a Decision-Making
Covenant and are governed by the Church's Constitution and By-Laws.
These two documents are available in the Members Governance section of
this website.
Board of Christian
Education
The Board of Christian Education manages the
education programs for adults, youth, and children.
Board of Community
Action
The Board of Community Action manages the Church's
social action/outreach programs and charitable distribution of money
raised by various yearly activities and donations.
Board of Deacons
The Board of Deacons are responsible
for Worship,
music and arts, pastoral care, and flower committee.
Board of Membership and
Fellowship
This board is
responsible for welcoming new members, organizing fellowship events,
and maintaining Westmoreland's Web Site.
Board of
Trustees
The Board of Trustees is responsible for the budget,
stewardship, personnel and property management.
Volunteer
Corps Board
This Board manages and supports the Westmoreland
Volunteer Corps, a group of young men and women who live as a community
in the Church's parsonage and work for a locate volunteer organization.
Arts Committee
This committee
arranges special art shows at Westmoreland Church.
Executive Committee
This committee is
responsible for the oversight of all the other Boards and Committees at
Westmoreland.
Flower Committee
This committee is
responsible for all the flower arrangements for all services at
Westmoreland Church.
Middle East
Committee
This committee
is a forum for achieving peace and justice in the Middle East.
Technology
Committee
This committee is
responsible for the development, use, and maintenance of technology
throughout the church.
