Position: Program Instructor
For Love of Children’s Continuum Program department provides programming and support
for students in middle school, high school and continued guidance and support for FLOC
scholars who are currently pursuing vocational training or a college degree.
Job Description: As a Program Instructor you will facilitate workshops that guide
students through a curriculum that is focused on preparing students to become lifelong
learners. As a Program Instructor you will ensure that students make plans for life after
high school that suit them best and that they have the tools and skills necessary to pursue
those opportunities and succeed. Workshop themes include: leadership development, how to make
choices?, service learning, career exploration, SAT and ACT preparation, college campus visits
and college fairs, financial aid workshops and scholarship coaching.
Through a fun, dynamic team environment, the Program Instructor will be adept at working with diverse students in grades 6-12 and students in post-secondary. The Program Instructor will monitor the progress of his or her students by: 1) establishing relationships with parents, schools and community. 2) instructing series of workshops for middle school and/or high school students as they prepare for secondary and post-secondary education opportunities. 3) supervising and providing quality assurance at site 4) assisting the Program Coordinator.
This position strives to empower young adults in exploring the options of education available to them after high school.

QUALIFICATIONS OR SKILLS: We are looking for a candidate who is detail-orientated, outgoing and team oriented. The ideal candidate will hold a bachelors degree and have background or strong interest in youth development.
