ACTION ITEM
SUMMARY
• Motion: Motion unanimously passed to
allow Casey Fannon to spend up to $1500 on repairs &
maintenance items and then report back to Trustees; recommended that he
obtain two to three bids for required work when appropriate
• Motion: Motion unanimously passed to
allow Casey Fannon to enter into a pest control contract and spend up
to $3,000 for eradication of current termite problem and $500 annually
on Sentricon pest control system after obtaining 2 to 3 bids from
vendors.
• Motion: Motion unanimously passed to
correct error in salary payment to Janet Moyer by issuing check for
$936 with appropriate withholdings.
• Volunteer’s House: Alice will
act as Trustees’ Liaison to Volunteer Board and BCA. She will
set up meeting to discuss the three committees’ rights and
responsibilities via the Volunteer’s House.
• Financial: Pierre to ask Mike
Weber (treasurer) for quarterly financial reports to Trustees and semi
annual letters to congregation on pledge balances. Kate to
ask Membership Committee for proposal on use of Janet’s time for their
needs.
• Energy: Kate to explore possibility of
renegotiating WGES energy supply contract and will circulate
possibilities via email.
• Parking: Otto will call county counsel
representative to attempt to resolve county’s proposed parking
restrictions around the Church.
• Congregant’s Workplace Match for
Pledge: Kate to follow up.
• Executive Session Subcommittee: to
continue discussions with Senior Minister

MEETING TOPICS
BUILDING
ISSUES
Casey presented information on AC systems and need to replace in next
year or two, resolving termite issue, work on tree trimming, landscape
work, and removal of graffiti from rock in parking lot. He
also reported that the Volunteer’s House plumbing bill was resolved for
$2,500.
PARKING ISSUES
Otto is working on resolution with county on proposed parking
restrictions on streets around the Church. He will also
explore arrangements with Baptist Church and Carpenter’s House for
Sunday service parking.
Volunteer’s
House Issues
Alice presented in depth history of Volunteer’s House program and
coordination among the Volunteer’s House Board, BCA, and
Trustees. BCA would like VH Board to report to
Trustees. Alice will work as our liaison to the VH Board and
BCA to explore the issue in more depth before a decision is made.
Financial and
Personnel Issues
Discussed need for quarterly financial reports from Treasurer and
letters to congregation on pledge balances. Pierre to request
this information from Mike. Mike reported to Pierre that
there had been miscalculation of Janet’s salary and Trustees will pay
the amount recommended by Mike of $936. Membership committee
would like to increase its use of Janet’s time. Katy will ask
for proposal.
