Members present: Judy Newman,

Newman, David Bennett, Richard Schreitz, Tim Waidmann, Ann Morales,
Nancy VanMeter, Amy Wooden.
- Librarian computer issues--Judy
summarized the current
status of a computer for the librarian. There is currently
neither a computer nor functioning software, so no additions to the
library database (which logs the library collection) can be
made. The committee approved purchase of a new PC for the
library, and Judy said that she would arrange for it to be
ordered. She also will look into the procedure for obtaining
the license of the PC software for the library database, so that it can
be installed on the new computer.
- Green Group-- David reported
that updates from the Green
Group have been added to the church Web site. David reported,
on behalf of the BCA (Board of Community Action), that BCA updates have
also been made to their portion of the Web site.
- Website update procedure--There
was general discussion about the
need to have a procedure ('protocol') that could be passed on to the
boards and church staff to be followed when updates to their portion of
the church Web site needed to be made. Rich Smith and Janet
Moyer are using SeaMonkey to do their updates, and Tim and Amy will
work with other Boards and Committees to provide training on how this
would work. There also was discussion about the current
status of the church Web site, which still has many out of date links
and pages. Tim, who now has assumed the role of Webmaster,
said that he will work on removing out of date sections.
- Wireless service to the Social Hall--
Amy has a wireless
router that she will install. This will facilitate regular
demonstrations of the church Web site during the Social Hour, and will
provide service to any member of the congregation who wishes to use
their wireless laptop at that location.
