Environmental Stewardship
Green Group
In the spring of 2007, the Green Group formed at
Westmoreland specifically to advocate for environmental
stewardship. During the past year we have sponsored events
that increase recognition of our part as Christians in protecting the
Earth and its creatures and supporting environmental stewardship of the
many resources given to our care.
The challenge for us all is to live
sustainably. We can meet this challenge through personal
choice and individual actions, advocacy to government, business, and
our fellow citizens, and collective choices as a congregation in church
management and outreach.
