Adult Education
The Adult Education program at Westmoreland is
wide-spread, reaching across Christian Education, Parish Life, Music
& Arts, Membership & Fellowship, and Community Action.
A variety of education offerings are available for adults during the
year. Past programs have included a luncheon Bible study group,
computer classes, intergenerational events, and a Second Sunday Forum
series.
Current
Offering
Back-to-back mini-Lenten retreats on prayer, led by Rev.
Bob Maddox, will be held February 25, 12:30-2:00 p.m. and 7:30-9:00
p.m., in the Carpenter's House (next door to the former Briggs Church).
Materials will be drawn from a Kerygma guide, by John Shelby Spong, and
from the group's collective experience. This study will fit in with a
series of sermons Rev. Rich Smith will give during Lent.
