Community Action Fair

The Board of Community Action sponsored a Community Action Fair during Coffee Hour where Westmorelanders could learn more about the various area Service Organizations. The following representatives from various agencies were available to answer questions about their programs at the various booths set up in the Social Hall: Bethesda Cares (8376); Bethesda-Chevy Chase Meals on Wheels; Calvary Women's Shelter (8812); Capital Area Food Bank (8052); Christ House (8283); Community Ministry of Montgomery County (8230); Community Family Life Service (8818); Dinner Program for Homeless Women (8280); Family & Child Services of Washington DC (8095); House of Ruth (8117); IONA Senior Services (8230); Joseph's House (8485); Lincoln-Westmoreland Housing; Martha’s Table (8445); Middle East Committee-ANERA (0307); Montgomery County Housing Partnership (8849); My Sister's Place (8449); New Endeavors by Women (8072); N Street Village (8281); PLAN; Pregnancy Aid Center (8835); Sacred Heart Adult Education - ESL; Shaw Community Ministry (9179); Sojourner's Neighborhood Center (8863); St. Ann's Infant & Maternity Home (8180); United Seniors Health Cooperative; Victory Triumphant Missions; Westmoreland Children's Center Scholarship Fund; William Wendt Center for Loss and Healing (8345); Zacchaeus/Bread for the City (8896) and Westmoreland’s own Food and Hunger Projects.
